Electric Dirt (Dirt Farmer Music / Vanguard Records) is the second album in the last two years of the American musical treasure Levon Helm. His predecessor, the Grammy-winning Dirt Farmer, his first solo LP in the fourth century, followed Levon near miraculous recovery from throat cancer, and as such represented a new lease for the life of the legendary artist, who rose to attention as the drummer and singer for Levon and the Hawks, which later became the band. Electric Dirt again finds Levon vol tradition in connection with the country and the people, but this record is deeper and wider, with gospel, blues and soul elements into a girder set of originals and carefully selected outside songs. Undoubtedly the most achieved singer / songwriter of his generation, Rob Thomas is one of modern music's most compelling and commercially successful artists. With the exception of a few things that start dark and stay dark, there is usually a lot at the end of each song, "he says. "There should be, it's the hope part you want to share with people. It is the part that says hope you found what the secret of the pain and maybe some other people will, too."

While listening to filmmaker David Lynch speak at the BAFTA Awards in February 2008, Moby was a revelation. Lynch's message of creativity for its own interest is a beautiful, beautiful thing, it was a simple, but it hit Moby with the power of the Zen master's cane. "At that moment I decided to simply records that were more personal," says Moby, "perhaps more experimental, and a little more challenge, perhaps not so easy to like, but things that I found to be more artistic and creative satifying. That was the idea behind creating the new album. "
