Cradlesong [ENHANCED] by Rob Thomas : CD released on June 30, 2009

Undoubtedly the most achieved singer / songwriter of his generation, Rob Thomas is one of modern music's most compelling and commercially successful artists. Between Matchbox Twenty, his solo work and collaborations with various iconic artists like Santana and Mick Jagger, his tally now at more than 80 million albums sold worldwide.

The last magical collection of Thomas-crafted inspiration is his second solo album, Cradle Song. The new album follows his 2005 multi-platinum solo debut, ... Something To Be, the history as the first album by a male artist from a rock or pop group debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200, because the map was launched 50 years earlier. The album has a couple of Grammy nominations and took a series of hit singles including the smash "Lonely No More" which was # 1 in 15 countries. Cradle song with Matt Serletic again the producer of the chair, was forged in a creative charged atmosphere. The result is a percussive drilling rock record that pulses with passion and energy and shows a world he views with boundless optimism.

Despite the sometimes discouraging lyric, Thomas infuses that hopeful spirit cradle song. "I'm not mopey person, I do not get satisfied with pain and despair. With the exception of a few things that start dark and stay dark, there is usually a lot at the end of each song, "he says. "There should be, it's the hope part you want to share with people. It is the part that says hope you found what the secret of the pain and maybe some other people will, too."
