Intimacy by Kem : CD released on August 17, 2010


Intimacy by KEM is deeply personal lessons to inspire intimacy, and will allow fans to experience it, unlike ever before, lyrically, musically, and visually. For the first time in his career, KEM will lay all his cards on the table and give fans the opportunity up close and personal one, and provides a 10-song collection of timeless music for the grown and sexy.

Intimacy features vocal and production collaborations with the likes of Grammy-winning soul diva Jill Scott and the late Motown legend David J. Van dePitt, as is well known produced Marvin Gaye's masterpiece of 1971, what's going on. Scott delivers magical verses of the spoken word in "Golden Days", while Van dePitt arranged the Detroit Symphony Orchestra string section on the first single, a beautiful ballad called "Why you would stay." Los Angeles producer Rex Rideout (Luther Vandross, Angie Stone) joined in the studio round KEM help the listening experience intimacy. The result is a rich sound of classical instruments and a wider range of musical styles, to expand the audience certainly KEM by enshrining success on multiple formats, including pop, R & B underpinning, and urban adult contemporary.

The first online video released a revealing look behind the scenes features of the development of a promotional spot for the new album, which was shot in the MGM Grand in Detroit. The second clip is the actual commercial advertising, which portrays a night in the life of the KEM, party with friends at Detroit's MGM Grand and breaks into an impromptu appearance at the club. It serves as a formal introduction of the new album and KEM understanding of intimacy. "The moment you realize you're not alone is your finest hour," he says at the beginning of the commercial. "When you can finally you can see how you really are - this is what intimacy is for me."

Smooth grooves, powerful vocals, lyrics warm, and just good mood music best described KEM's instantly recognizable sound. In 2002, wrote the self-taught and produced his critically acclaimed debut solo album, Kemistry, which has spawned the hit single "Love Calls." The classic line was to break records for the longevity of the Urban A / C chart, while the DVD-plus reached gold status and solidified KEM's position as a leading man in the world of jazz-influenced R & B music. The success of his Gold Certified follow-up CD, 2005 album KEM II - which proved an impressive debut at No. 5 over all the important Billboard Top 200 Charts - KEM's staying power in the tough competition in the world, R & B.

Now with the release of intimacy, KEM is opening to identify the volatile man behind the voice. In fact, led the work on this project not only, KEM, a proud father of two daughters, the self-produced his first two albums, to a deeper understanding of the true meaning of intimacy, but it also helped him achieve a greater appreciation for the importance of intimacy in all aspects of his life outside of romantic relationships.
